​My first foray into 3D modelling and animation, learning the software, Blender 3D from scratch, I modelled the 3D "Cheesburber" model and animated the camera to get all the dynamics and energetic shots..

​I then edited it heavily, putting the effects and the text that display the lyrics in a dynamic way..

Song Background:

The song began as a loop that I found in a cymatics pack which sounded pretty catchy. I plopped it in FLStudio (Fruity Loops Studio) and played around with it before coming up with a bassline as the foundation of the song. This loop was a loop consisting of vocal chops and the vocals were pitched up and processed. This gave me the idea to create a song under the Cheesburber name and pitch up my voice. But I also wanted to have a bit of my own singing in there so I credited the song to myself and Cheesburber but really its just me singing with myself. The song featured this main bassline which plays throughout the entirety of the song and the other elements build around it. While I feel my mixing isn't the best, this is my most energetic song so far at this point as I am writing this and I am pretty happy with how it turned out. The song got a Drum & Bass sort of drum beat with a few Amen Break samples mixed in to give it that energetic feel.

Video Background:

The video began with me tinkering with the concept of how do I visualise the concept of the song, the same approach I had with Our Imagination, except that this song didn't have as strong of a concept as Our Imagination. So instead I focused on what kind of vibes this song gave me and because of the bass and the very processed vocals, I instantly felt like the video needed neon and a smooth look to it. So I had the idea to create a low poly Cheesburber mascot to which I turned to Blender. I basic knowledge with Maya and 3D modelling in Maya so when I was making a low poly Cheesburber model in Blender it was pretty easy, the hard part was learning the ropes of the Blender UI. So, in a week I learnt Blender by completing this q4 part Donut tutorial in Blender and learnt the basics. From there It took no time at all to create the low poly Cheesburber mascot and rig it up so that it could be animated. The only regret I have with the end product is not animating the burber more and giving more actions rather than just running but I was trying to complete this project before enlisting so I was against a deadline I set for myself. The video also features various neon lines and mini-hamburgers which I easily learnt how to add using Blender's particle emitters. After finishing the initial animation I now had what was initially the base video and like with "Our Imagination",  my editing did most of the heavy lifting. Using Kinemaster once again, I added all the text, the effects, transitions and little touchups here and there to create a legible  and dynamic lyric video. I also thought that basing this video off a retro aesthetic meant the video might work well if it had a filter on it that made it look like a CRT TV which I did with an open source software I found on Github. And so I reuploaded the video with the filter with the title "VHS LYRIC VIDEO". In addition to the lyric video, I also created 2 promos for the song by creating an entirely new Blender project where there is a table, a CRT TV and a VHS Table. I spliced old 80s commercials and videos for the first promo and edited the song for the second.
